It’s easy to judge others, but true transformation starts by confronting ourselves.

100% this. There is only one person in the world you have complete control over: the one in the mirror.

My thing with this recent topic has been not that I think the CEO was a good person -- I don't think George Floyd was a good person either -- but that I am disturbed by how many people think they are justified in killing someone in the street. No one wants it done to them, yet they're creating a culture that encourages it. It's always just a matter of time before they get around to you.

Yup, for sure. If it happened to someone they like, let’s say a relative, regardless of how bad others thought of the person, they’d say it’s not fair. Selfishness and lack of self analysis.

Lack of actual values. The victim/oppressor narrative is just a means to an end.

Exactly. One can be opposed to lynching philosophically - even of the guilty.

And those who remember history recall that the French Revolution did not stop with the aristocrats.

Wow. Earlier this week, I caught myself in between whether this was good or evil. The Holy Spirit let me know that there was another way to handle the CEO, and that celebrating this shooting is wrong. You put into words why I feel sorrow over this entire event.

You cannot kill your way to prosperity. Bathing the fields in blood does not make crops grow better.

"If there was a button presented to everyone in the world which would kill anyone they wanted to without anyone knowing, how many would press it?"

That is literally the premise of Death Note. A star student is presented with such a tool, and goes evil with the power.

Very important lesson there, the removing of envy and hatred and anger is hard but important.

I had a long listen to my daughter today. We agree on so much having to do with societal grooming. We also agreed that blaming is pointless when you are truly growing throughout life, when change is inevitable. Do you stomp your feet and remain angry? You can lose respect for someone who did not step up to the plate, but staying angry is pointless and must be acknowledged but not coddled. It's about OUR growth and not their lack of growth. Blessings for your wisdom
