Lovely words. I very much agree with the thought that it really doesn't matter what Jesus looks like on the surface. His living presence is what's important, and whatever image helps you attune to that presence, go for it!
This is why I relate more to the concept of our eternal homeland, the promised land. We can come from whatever ethnicity or whatever country in our passport. But people might feel called more to live in a different country with different peoples. And that could be to fulfil their personal calling.
But what awaits us all, regardless of which part of God's earth we sow the seeds, is the homeland where we can feel home, at last. And who's there is our Lord and our loved ones who have fallen asleep earlier. We can finally see Him face to face. Oh that must be a tremendously satisfactory feeling, the one we can't feel yet on earth.
Thank you Alexander. This is beautiful and informative. I had a vivid dream of Jesus some years ago, but I saw only the back of His head, the long hair, the white robe.. But I knew without a doubt it was Jesus. That dream saved my life.
Albert Einstein said, "I am a Jew, but I am enthralled by the luminous figure of the Nazarene... No one can read the Gospels without feeling the actual presence of Jesus. His personality pulsates in every word."
Indeed! I must write about it. I also want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, for your kind recommendation of my Newsletter, Memories & Epiphanies. I only realized recently that I had one recommendation, and it was from you. :) Thank you for your kind gesture, it means a lot.
There is no face of Jesus in God’s word. His heart is all through it though. Our white supremacist indoctrination has Him as a blue- eyed Caucasian. If we think this is what He looked like, we are sadly mistaken.
I do not think it has anything to do with white supremacy, and I feel it is unfortunate to try to fabricate such a connection. Many cultures create images of Jesus in their own race. It is not racist to do so. It is a symbolic means to accept him into their culture. Jesus is much bigger than a man in history. Billions through millennia have studied his words for bigger reasons than his historical ethnicity.

“For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.”

The real face of Y’shua should be reflected back at us in the mirror every morning.
NO ONE like the Lord Jesus Christ and His Papa.

One day believers will look into that face and all our earthly thoughts, beliefs, and concerns will melt away with his smile.

You are a good boy, you have repeated the mantra.
Nice, which city?
