Excellent read reminding us what exactly are we doing? why are we doing it? how are we going about it? what is the end-goal? To win? or be healthy and trust that the outcome will serve a better purpose. (and with a strong faith good health, you can also surprise yourself on the podium - without the podium being the primary goal)

Funny, but last night I posted "Sydney McLaughlin's first book, "Far Beyond Gold: Running from Fear to Faith" on my IG.

We love to watch her run! There is a wonderful documentary on YouTube about her when she was in high school. An old film if you can find it. 😊

There is an overarching lesson in all of this. If you are doing something out of love and not for winning, you embody the right kind of mastery of attention. By embodying this right attention (see The Eightfold Path), by being of right mind and heart, when winning is of no importance compared to your intentions, you become master of yourself, and then, and only then, can you master your task.

I love to go out for a run. I ran long distance in high school, but was never really fast. I just enjoyed it, haha. Something about being outside and going along as you please. I can’t run on a track or treadmill. I am glad you’re healthy again and able to enjoy running.

Nice to read about this. I'm also fond of running/jogging. In Kyiv, I lived near the forest. It was my place for meditation, exercising, and picking up small bouquets of modest forest flowers for over 30 years.

That’s amazing. One of my good friends lives in Kyiv, he loved walking there in the parks.

I run with the penguins at the back of the pack. It’s still the same distance whether first or last to cross the finish line.

Managing our time well comes by gaining a listening ear to His voice. That voice is recognized when we absorb His word. He’s all about relationship. Good words Alexander.

That's a fun atmosphere. Masters means old by the way. Haha, not elite.
