Hard things, bumps in the road, losses, and pain are like the Refiner’s Fire……serving to purify, strengthen, and grow me up into my best self. Knowing this; I can dance in the rain.

Changing our mindset can be the most powerful thing we can do in returning to gratefulness and all the blessings that are coming to us a mile a minute.

It's been raining a great deal this month. April showers bring may flowers.

Yes… the Earth does not say “I’m going to rain and ruin your day.” We say “It rained and ruined my day.” Great piece!

You so right, With all the destructions and speed bumps in our paths, God also reminds us not to wonder off in thought far from Him. If so, we'd probably over react and lose our cool. If our focus remained on God in this situations it's loving all round. I quote: "Be still, I Am" Your piece reminded me of that, thank you.

'Eventually, if you continually choose to be angry, it’ll build up and cause great distress.'

Yeah, and it's definitely worthwhile to remind ourselves of the fact that if we proceed with our negative feelings, it won't improve those particular circumstances in which we find ourselves in. In fact, it may actually worsen those situations.

It is your life--your best life--even if it is not to your liking at times. See the good in it. Thank God. Move forward.

I remember being caught in a rain storm when I was walking in a park about 2km from home.

I got totally drenched, and I loved it!

I felt the rain on my face and hands, and I was not too cold.

Normally in the rain, with an umbrella up, it is noisy and you are trying not to get wet, but this time I had no umbrella or raincoat and noticed the noise of the rain as it hit me and the trees and grass and stream and ponds I passed.

Sound, feeling and all sensations such as smell and even the taste of rain on my tongue as I had a drink from the sky allowed me to really appreciate what rain actually is, and to empathise with the Kangaroos that I see chewing grass or birds in the branches of saturated trees as it pores down on them.

They of course just have a shake when the rain stops and seem to be ok, where as I took off my saturated jumper and shoes and clothes and had a nice hot bath.

Next time you have some time I suggest instead of feeling smug at home, deliberately go for a walk in the rain and leave the raincoat and umbrella at home- feel the blessing of rain and be one with the creation and the creator who made it all.

i love the rain. I have a picture of my daughter around the age of 5, standing in the rain, laughing. We didn't get caught in the rain; we went outside to play in it.

This happens to my brain at 2am. When my brain decides this is the time to resolve a situation. My way out is to start planning my next story line. Then I gave my brain a fun distraction that pays off in the am. Works sometimes.

My friends Grandpa was in WW11 in Italy. He was an awesome man. When he was a child he and his Mim and sister and Dad walked from Oklahoma to Success Arkansas to start over. They had a wagon and a horse the Dad always walked the Mom and sister always ride. My grandpa was like 7 he did it half and half. He was a little sad cause he had to say goodbye to his best friend a Choctaw Indian boy. I loved him and miss him so much. Whenever I had a problem I would go to him and spill my guts and he was a very quiet soul so he would listen. Then say Well now sugar that’s “ just part of it”.
