I see this a lot with the young people in my life. They don't want advice. They want a listener; then figure it out on their own.

They need to be heard. Often those very professionals DO NOT listen.⬅️ Omg! I was just thinking about this topic recently. You wrote my thoughts it out loud! 👍💪✌️🙏😊

Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. (James 5:13-16)

We need other people to talk to and to listen to us, and to pray for us and to pray for.

This is the only verse mentioning confession, which is NOT to a priest but to each other, and it is not about sin but about illness.

God tells us to pray to him directly for forgiveness of sin, and that no man is a mediator between us and God the Father, except Christ the Son:

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

(1Tim 2:5)

Thank you friend beautiful music and sentiments! And so true! There is always so much more to hear when you really listen. There is so much between the lines that you miss if you are not prepared to listen or don’t want to take the time.
