Being young and staying young is totally different for me. I used to live like there was no tomorrow and now I am paying for my youthful craziness with joint replacements, plates in my neck and arthritis everywhere. Would I change it? NO but that is what life is all about.

Absolutely! What many don’t recognize is how many over 50 cared about the world they were leaving to the youth. We needed more than ever to turn this Country around for their sake. We screwed it up and we needed to rectify what we allowed to happen. Our work is still ahead. We have much to do still to kick this darkness to the curb. Having said that, the Gen Xers stepped up and voted the darkness out as well. Thanks to all the demographics that moved toward MAGA!

My sweet friend, what an accomplishment.. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻that test is grueling. My husband was a volunteer firefighter and then a career firefighter.. It really takes a toll on the body. His willingness to sacrifice his life daily in the service of others..humbles me always..still to this day. His service to humanity always brings me to tears. I hope you get to achieve your goals and your dreams..and have a wonderful birthday 🎈 to, my dear friend. 🎂🥧🧁🍨🍦🍰🍪☕️🫖🍵Always sending you the best wishes for success and happiness. 💕God bless you, my dear friend🙏🏻😘 Have a wonderful day ☀️

I'm trying to encourage a loved one to stop looking at life as a number of years that he'll be able to be "a man". He may have looked at that earlier in life, but I encourage him to just feel his experience where he is now...and he is NOT ill. He is just feeling OLD.

And...he had bravely tried to be a volunteer firefighter during this time and he passed the initial tests, however once, on his way to a meeting, he came close to having a collision with a semi truck. That was a godsend. Thankfully, it only scared the crap out of him... and took off the front bumper of the vehicle. After that he decided it was not the best way to go; volunteer firefighter. But it was his decision that took the wind out of his sails. Long story short, he is 72. He did well. He tried, and good for him. You are a young person. I think you, with determination and the strength you have, will be just fine. And I think you will always try too.

You're only 38?! Try 74 going on 75! My whole body aches, knees, feet, back, etc. and I can't stay awake during the day or evening and I would like to take walks like I did when I was a bit younger but something always gets in the way! Either my health or something! But there was a time I could walk from one end of my town to the other end and up and down hills! But anyway, I did enjoy your post!
