Hey friends and readers,
Terror reigns,
Yet within His Pains I flee,
Free from all fear.
Powerful
Just as I get used
To one season's wild ways,
Another one dawns.
Awesome
Moonlight whispers love,
Petals dance in soft embrace,
Future blooms, silent grace.
Wow, soooo good
So beautiful
Black and white photo
Two young faces look ahead
Beyond dust, to hope
oh wow, powerful imagery
Thank you!
Time and space open
Revealing the mysteries
The glory of God
All very good!
"Chasing the Future"
Running fast away
I'm unable to reach it
unlike the present
Nice!
The future arrives,
Open your eyes wide to dream—
Remember, and dream.
Really good
Ohhh...it's been ages since I wrote a haiku or any kind of poem...probably since high school. I'm not a poet by any stretch, but this is a fun challenge! So here's mine:
She holds hope in one hand
And fear in the other
Presents her one-way ticket
And tells the future,
"I'm checking in."
I like it a lot, brings out very real emotions
Future
The past a fading ghost
Of times that once were lived.
Tragic tales lost to most.
Wrongs recalled and forgived.
The present: chronic now.
If Time’s a lofty ship,
The present is the prow
Into Future does it rip.
Shaping Past, left in the wake.
Fashioning history.
As if Present does take,
Future’s life mystery.
Leaving a ghost to haunt
My remembering.
The good that's past does taunt:
Before me assembling.
Future is horizon.
What will be, what could be.
It is fear that lies in
What’s before us at sea.
Future is what’s unknown.
Shrouded in mystery
Seeds yet to be sown.
Its future history.
Future: its all that gets me by.
It is Hope. Give me or I die.
Amazing depth in this poem
You write with passion for words.
What a compliment. Thank you.
The Lord only knows
What the future truly holds,
But yet I still dream.
Lovely!
In the wake of crows
Cockatoos burst on red gums
Dropping Honky nuts
Very interesting!
Jesus Christ returns
posts a poem on Substack
no one restacks it
hahaha
Glad I could make you laugh!
*Sigh* Five Seven Five
If now could predict future
It would be simple
when patience runs down
long unsaid words get spoken
better days ahead
Very good
Hope wears rose lenses
Faith looks toward future glory
Trust rests in knowing
The last ship departs
War claims final victory
Only death lingers
Terror reigns,
Yet within His Pains I flee,
Free from all fear.
