Merissa, I just love you. You fill this space with so much light and although I am probably older than your mom, I am inspired by you to do better. Thank you for such a beautiful story and reminder of H.E.L.P. I secretly love to do this, but of course, can struggle and get wrapped up in other things. This was such a sweet and definitely romantic story. Thank you. oxox
Aw, thank you, Deborah!! You are so sweet 💜💜 I’m so happy that you were blessed with this! Yes, we all can work towards H.E.L.P -ing people more and more (I know I do lol!)
Thank you so much for sharing and your kind words!! 💜 God Bless You!
Thank you for sharing a lovely story of how to practically apply what our Lord Jesus asks of us in our everyday to day lives in him in loving our neighbours and treating them as we would like to be treated. I found it fascinating you named the managing barista Zoey as The Greek word translated is life, in John 1:4 is zoe: “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.” Zoe refers to the uncreated, eternal life of God, the divine life uniquely possessed by God and that is in Jesus' recreated indwelt, holy spirit filled born again disciples, that enables us to shine Jesus' light of his characteristics of love grace mercy, patience kindness, as Gods ministers of reconciliation, speaking Gods truths in love as his oracles and blessing others so others can be touched by Jesus through us. Thanks again! Much of Jesus' and my sisterly love to you! 💌🫂🎉🪔🎁
Aww, thank you for reading and sharing this with me! I love the name Zoey it is truly a profound name. I specifically chose the name because it's actually the name of my best friend. We're always talking about how beautiful her name is and how much God's love can reflect in all of our lives ❤️
Writing this story just helped illustrate what that means to both my friend (Zoey) and me ❤️
Thank you for reading I'm so happy I got to share it with you all 🙏🤗
So beautiful; & for giving far more glimpses of the reasons behind why you chose that precious word & name. You are certainly blessed to have each other. What a gift heavenly father has given to you both! We certainly need the very life of Jesus pumping & coursing through us, for his very words are indeed spirit and life,.. since his divine ·power hath granted to us all things unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that called us through glory and virtue; whereby he hath granted us the precious and exceeding great promises; that through these ye may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust. Yea, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your ·faith supply ·virtue; and in ·virtue ·knowledge; and in ·knowledge ·self-control; and in self-control ·patience; and in ·patience ·godliness; and in ·godliness brotherly ·kindness; and in your brotherly ·kindness ·love. For if these things are yours and abound, they make you to be not idle nor unfruitful unto the knowledge of our ·Lord Jesus Christ. For who lacketh these is blind, short-sighted, having forgotten the cleansing from his old ·sins. 2 Peter 1:3-9 We take on his divine nature and transforms us to bring forth glory to our very father in heaven. Tomorrow is promised to no one so it is today we are to be busy in our father's business doing & diligently carrying out our heavenly fathers will in reaching & affecting others, so they can without a doubt know they have been touched by Jesus Christ through our consecrated vessels. So we don't want to miss out on God's plan or purpose in our lives or in how he needs us to stir poignantly evoking others. The God we choose to serve and put first we become more and more like. Having a larger vision in the desire to help love, assist and serve others. Praying to our father in heaven for opportunities to use us, giving us ideas in how best to meet others needs practically and spiritually, wether that be at home, to our family, in our immediate neighbourhoods, at work, walking down the street, in supermarket queues, in the park, waiting at the bus stop, in the back of a taxi, always asking and yeilding to Gods Holy Spirit and how it is leading us and then stepping out in faith depending on the Spirit for it's power and in God's strength.
Beautiful reminder to us all to be like Jesus, Marisa! Beautiful, meaningful storytelling!
I remember HELP as a Sunday school teacher… and try to do this as often as I can. But it’s just instinctive… Buying for those behind me in the drive-thru, letting drivers merge, sharing smiles, holding doors, giving books…giving grace and dignity to all! Thank you for sharing here, Alexander Semenyuk! ❤️🥰
I loved the honesty. You thought you were writing a romantic comedy, but you wrote something better, something someone needs. When we are open to God's will, anything can happen. And it did. Thank you for the story.
Thank you so much, Joel! That is so true … In God’s will, anything can happen. And it always has a wonderful outcome. Thank you for reading and God Bless!
So very lovely, Merissa. I loved everything about this. And yes, we all need help from time to time…and even more so these days. Thank you for the lift today!
