Great post.

The ancient world didn’t believe in luck. It was down to the will of God or gods. The idea of luck was reinforced by the development of probability in 17th Century maths.

Working hard is it’s own reward. Anything more is God’s blessing.

Loved the post. I smiled because it reminded me of the famed guitarist Joe Walsh’s subtly sarcastic song about how he achieved all he has: “Just Lucky that Way.” If you haven’t heard it recently, play it in the context of all you just wrote/spoke so eloquently

In life luck is never a given! I have had good luck in my life, but I 've had very, very bad luck. I always look out for those that only bad luck in their lives.....Finding the balance, in Life & writing isn't easy...that's the challenge as a writer....
