No, I do not respect everyone’s beliefs
Hey friends and readers,
I’m sure this title might seem harsh to some, but let’s discuss.
This is now a very common thing in our society.
Someone constantly can be seen saying or writing: “Oh I respect everyone’s beliefs.”
This type of thing does not indicate any tolerance, contrary to some views.
This also shows an almost complete avoidance of critical thinking, as well as abandonment of any strong morals or ethics.
Yet, often those who say it, claim a direct opposite!
It’s absurd.
Do you respect a pedophiles beliefs?
Do you respect a belief that women and girls should have no rights, or that they can be treated like items?
If you answer no to just these above you already can say that you do not respect millions of people, and that’s a good thing.
Don’t confuse being wise with tolerating evil.
Do you respect communists and nazi?
I don’t. I don’t respect their beliefs and in fact I don’t respect them. Communists murdered many in my family last century, and some will tell me “Oh be respectful to all.”?
Seriously?
Where is the backbone?
How can we be scared to offend those who offend God?
Do you respect a belief that slavery was okay? Do you respect the people who hold that belief?
Do you respect satanists who sacrifice children?
Do you respect KKK?
Let’s stop playing this game of “I respect everyone’s beliefs.”
How can you? That’s only possible if you completely lack personality and have no real beliefs of your own that you can stand behind.
This phrase is dishonest at best and it would be great if we worked on getting it out of our society.
This will help engage in real conversations about troublesome issues and wrongdoings.
What do you think? Do you respect this belief? hahah…
Blessings

💯!! It's impossible to respect all beliefs. You can believe and stand on freedom of expression/speech (without it we are "all" doomed) - but have zero respect for what is being said. To respect all beliefs is confusion over conviction. You can educate yourself, listen, read, but you do not have to respect what you are absorbing. Good one Alexander!
I agree. What I have seen is that those who demand from others to respect everyone's believes (or sometimes, other human rights as well), are the ones who themselves violate such rules.
