God is so forgiving

Good Sunday to you!

It’s amazing to think about this, but when I pray, especially inside a church, it’s overwhelming to think how forgiving God is.

There is so much anger inside of us, many moments of complaining, tons of mistakes made every day, often unkind words are said, and of course bad thoughts as well. Sometimes the things we do are really terrible. Yet, God is so forgiving, that there are constant opportunities that are still presented and lessons to learn.

I look at my own recent book contract. Was hard work enough to earn this? No. I made many mistakes, was wrong towards people that love me and towards God, yet there it is, another blessing. And each day there are small blessings that shouldn’t go unnoticed. Every meal, every time out at a cafe, each day that we can walk, talk, listen and see. Are we so great that we should always be getting all these blessings?

Some people have way less, and yet still see how God is bringing blessings and gifts into their life. It’s amazing. God is so forgiving.

He forgives blasphemies against him every day. His patience has no limits.

Let’s go forth with great gratitude and do our best to forgive others in our life as God forgives us.

Together we can focus on our blessings. The nature, the air, every day we wake up alive. Eyes that see, hands that work, legs that walk, ears that hear, mind that thinks, heart that beats, nose that smells.
