A touch of God
A speck of dust flies in the wind…
Far…far away it travels.
It flies by the very eyes you are using to gaze up at the beautiful night sky. Your hands touch the sand below, the fingers feel the grains gently surround them as you sink deeper.
The ocean is calm, it’s dreaming of the universe. And so are you…
Dreaming…
Unaware of real greatness, yet awed by it’s beauty, as you should. Your eyes reflect the stars…
You wonder…
You wonder if everything around is connected somehow. Every step you have taken, every word you have said.
Each time you caused pain, or joy. Is it all connected? Shaping not just your future, not just your family’s future, but much more.
And then…your family, your friends. Combined together every decision each of them make causes constant ripples. Perhaps millions of possibilities.
God knows all of them. You wonder if outcomes in your life that you don’t like are due to mistakes you made. Then you wonder if it has something to do with greater power. Is the universe similar in some way? Yet…God does not make mistakes.
There is a plan for everything out there, the final destination, to meet true eternity. How we get there…a mystery to us.
You sometimes wonder why you have a feeling that something is about to happen before it does. Your heart beats louder and harder, your breath speeds up. This is when you must have faith…You know something will happen, you know if it’s bad or good. This is part of your plan…Meet it with faith, hope and courage.
You are so fragile…yet unshakable and unbeatable when fully faithful to God’s plan for you…
Keep looking at the stars and smiling, enjoy moments like these, for they are a precious gift.
Share the joy that you receive from them with others.
In this dream you are not alone.
God is always with you.
We are definitely all fragile! And perhaps, therein lies our magnificence.
I tend to believe all is connected, intimately, even though it all seems so impersonal. This always hits me when I just miss something, or when something just misses me. I think, what if I just did that a few seconds faster, or not at all, or what if I hadn’t waited a minute too long… and, I especially think about this if the outcome was bad. I’m now reminded of a car accident I just narrowly avoided not too long ago, and in the moment I thought, if I hadn’t chatted with that attendant for those extra 10 seconds, that would’ve likely been me!
